Description
Palau brings together some of the most representative points of Micronesia in a single itinerary, combining vertical walls and strong current channels with World War II wrecks and the archipelago's caves. Diving is mostly drift diving and alternates between reef, wall, wreck, and cavern, making it suitable for experienced divers comfortable with strong currents. In the channels, it is common to encounter reef sharks, manta rays, Napoleon wrasses, barracudas, and large schools of trevallies. The remains of the Iro Maru, Teshio Maru, and the Jake seaplane provide a historical element and fauna associated with submerged structures. The itinerary also includes the Chandelier Cave, a night dive, and snorkeling in the Jellyfish Lake, expanding the experience beyond wall diving. The schedule consists of three or four daily dives starting early in the morning with breaks on board, totaling around 18 dives.
